Bynd Artisan and Sunday Folks, two brands known for their passion and mastery for handcrafted experiences, have come together to offer the best of both worlds under one roof in the heart of Orchard Road.

The Bynd Artisan + Sunday Folks Ion Experience Store is a unique lifestyle destination—one that invites you to leave the noise of everyday life at the entrance, and treat yourself to a spot of retail therapy. Customise and personalise a well-appointed, handmade leather-and-paper gift, learn a new skill at a crafting workshop, and enjoy seasonal artisanal dessert creations, such as the Marrakesh Ice Cream Petit Gâteaux, complete with a cup of specialty coffee crafted from locally roasted beans.

In this dream sanctuary, both brands have combined their handcrafting ethos into an immersive brand experience with unique merchandise and thoughtful touches designed to bring meaning to our community.

The interior—designed by Dennis Cheok from UPSTRS and built by Li Zi Qi from The Design Vault—exudes warmth and comfort through earthy hues, tactile surfaces and gentle lighting. The cool hand-grinded copper wall and a gallery-inspired product display convey a feeling of calm, composure and beauty that’s enhanced by a curated playlist. A “gratitude corner” invites visitors to contemplate and write down what makes them happy in a guest book. Inspiration, whether it’s best served cold or hot, will be served on placemats and coasters featuring a few of the founders’ favourite quotes and song lyrics in print and calligraphy.

The handmade benches are exclusively co-designed by Sunday Folks and Shibui Furniture’s Kim Choy using locally harvested Angsana, paired with sugar-maple legs, and finished with Rubio Monocoat hardwax oil. Plus the store’s glass carafes come in a unique leather sleeve when brewed coffee is served.

“This collaboration showcases the evolution of both brands, says Winnie Chan, co-founder of Bynd Artisan. “Both of us started in 2014 and turned seven this year. We have been neighbours for a long time and we share the same ethos about our crafts and doing things well. We have a joint vision for this Experience Store to be a space where traditional craftsmanship and contemporary culture meet to create a new originality with sensory appeals for customers of both brands.”

In celebration of the opening of the Bynd Artisan + Sunday Folks ION Experience Store, we will be launching a limited-edition “That Sunday Feeling” Notebook. Repurposed from Bynd Artisan’s notebook, it will be available exclusively at the Experience Store.

Beverages will be served on coasters made from recycled food pulp paper with inspiring quotes in calligraphy by The Letter J Supply to uplift and bring joy. Customers are welcome to bring these home as a memento, or purchase them in more colours as a gift from the store.
