What to Expect at the Upcoming Neon Lights Festival 2019
Neon Lights Festival is back for the fourth time, and this weekend, things are shaping up at Fort Canning Green to welcome a list of phenomenal acts including Mumford & Sons, Halsey, Honne, Nick Murphy fka Chet Faker, AURORA and much more.
Going Cashless
This year, Neon Lights Festival will go cashless and payment methods accepted include NETS, Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards, and FavePay. First-time users of FavePay are in for a treat as the mobile payment app is offering a discount of S$5 when you top up S$80 in your RFID wristbands on the first transaction. Head over to the labelled RFID kiosks to top up your wristbands for all purchases within the festival.
Main Stage Lineup
The Main Stage festivities kick-off on Saturday, 23 November, with Mumford & Sons, Honne, Mura Masa, Disco Hue, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Shak & the Baits and AndreaH, while Sunday, 24 November will see Halsey, Nick Murphy fka Chet Faker, AURORA, BADBADNOTGOOD, Gus Dapperton, Cosmo’s Midnight, Joan and MMLD round up an unforgettable weekend.
Alternative Stage and Activities
On top of the impressive musicians on the Main Stage, festival-goers can wander over to The Bandstand to indulge in more electronic music. Check out funky sets by DJs such as Gonzo, Intriguant, Aalely, Kid Fiesta, and Ramesh on Saturday, 23rd November. The aptly named Ice Cream Sundays take over the decks together with Clean Bandit DJ/ MC Set and Fleetmac Wood.
Housed at The Haven, Neon Nooks is the place for all festival-goers to hone their creativity through art with activities led by Aliens of Manila x Singapore (feat. Leeroy New, Jereh Leung and Sonia Kwek) and Francois Knoetze. Dancing is highly recommended when roving bands Mariachi Viva Mexico and Bloco Singapura weave through the festival ground.
For the Kids
The evergreen Silent Disco returns once more, with also a kids’ edition at The Haven. Other activities for the young and young at heart include getting your fingers dirty with the Aliens of Manila Sci-Fi Helmet Making Workshop and Sideshow Garden Games.
Food and Beverage
Scrumptious food offerings to refuel on can be found at the Market, and visitors can chew on bites by 21 Sliders, Artichoke, Chix Hot Chicken, Fat Prince, Fung Kee Hotdogs, Papi’s Tacos, Taste of Kult x Kult Kafe, The Ice Cream & Cookie Co., and The Swag Social. Wash it all down with drinks by Tiger Crystal, Strongbow and Jim Beam, with dedicated bars dotted around the green with Happy Hour going from 1pm to 6pm.
Tickets for Neon Lights Festival start from S$30 for children and S$128 for adults, and are available on their website as well as SISTIC. VIP Single Day Passes start from S$227 and Two-Day Passes from S$400, while VIP Upgrade on a Single Day Pass starts at S$99 and Two-Day Passes from S$175.
Online ticket sales will end at 6pm on 22nd November 2019 and tickets may be bought at the door over both days of the weekend subject to availability.
